BOWES, ROBERT WILLIAM "BOWSIE" Robert William Bowes "Bowsie", 56 years of age, passed away suddenly on April 10, 2005. He was born in Blissfield, May 14, 1948, son of Pauline (Brennan) and the late Murdock Bowes. Bowsie was a devoted husband, of 37 years, to Mona (Dooley) Bowes; a loving father to son Andrew (Amber) and daughter Marti Wymer (Steven) and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Sydney Bowes, Brigid Bowes and Mason Wymer. He is also survived by his mother Pauline (Brennan) Bowes, four sisters Norah Sinclair (Lem), Norma Pyne (Wayne), Carol Allies (Ed) and Madonna Clark (Robert); many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, including his many brothers and sisters-in-law. Robert was a very successful businessman, having commenced his business career with Paul Burden Ltd. In Fredericton, which led to the founding (with business partners Phil Wasson and Richard Bowness) of Halifax Office Products. After retiring in 1989, he returned to Fredericton and Saint John where he opened River Valley Office Products, with partner Peter Corey. In 1991 he moved to Florida and purchased Bradenton House of Golf, which he successfully operated for a number of years until his retirement. At the time of his death, he was finally beginning to enjoy the fruits of his labour. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many idyllic hours on the banks of the Miramichi. Above all, Bob "Bowsie" was a wonderful, caring and generous person to all whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed by all. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton with visiting on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday April 16, 2005 at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church at 1:00 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating.
