SAUNDERS, JAMES "JIM" EDWARD The death of James "Jim" Edward Saunders, husband of April (Joy) Saunders, occurred after a lengthy illness at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the age of 52. Born on October 14, 1952 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late John and Marjorie Saunders. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by one daughter Roseanna (Greg) Saunders; two sons, James Jr. and John (Angie); three grandchildren, Jasmine Saunders, Vanessa BeniotSaunders, and Greg Quigg; and several nieces and nephews all of Fredericton. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Claudette) and Tom (Denise); five sisters, Edith (Ted), Hazel (Allen), Vivian (Alfie), Barb (Albert), and Alice O'Donnell. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Gordon; and two sisters, Joan Saunders and Margaret Long. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, April 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon McLeod Memorial Chapel at 9:30 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in the Sunny Bank Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be John, Bob, Robert, John, and Jake Saunders, and Mike O'Donnell.
