LOWER SACKVILLE – Russell Irving “Rusty” Manuel, 54, Lower Sackville, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at the QEII, VG Hospital Site. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Kathryn (Steele) Manuel. He is survived by his wife Jane (Bond) Manuel; daughters, Lindsey Manuel, Bedford; Laura Manuel, at home; sister, Florence Kathryn Ward, Eureka; nieces, Ashlee, Margo and Joni; grandniece, Dakota; many aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents, Daniel and Mary Ellen (Farrell) Steele; brothers, Lawrence and Jackie Manuel; nephew, Kevin Manuel. Rusty worked for the Trenton Car Works and Halifax Infirmary QEII site. He enjoyed golfing with friends, playing and coaching all sports, most recently with Sackville Minor Ball. Cremation has taken place. By Rusty’s request, there will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Reception to follow. Private family interment at a later date in Hebbville, Lunenburg Co. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
