BROPHY, MARION On May 6, 2005 Marion Brophy, wife of Ivan Brophy of Fredericton passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side following a courageous battle with cancer. Marion was born in Nash Creek, N.B., on March 15, 1951. Besides her husband Ivan, Marion leaves behind her son Michael (Christine) and daughter Sharon also of Fredericton. Marion is also survived by her mother Rosie Lapointe, Nash Creek, sisters Margaret (John Doucet), Becketville, Cynthia (Randy Godin), Black Point, Sharon (Gilles Godin), Nash Creek, and Joannie (Randy Lapointe) Toronto. Surviving brothers are Glen, Nash Creek, Terry (Dale), Nash Creek and Donnie (Donna), Toronto. Marion was predeceased by her father Gordon Lapointe and brothers Herman and Eugene. Marion will also be sadly missed by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Services are being arranged by MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point, N.B. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
