CARMICHAEL, CPL. NORMAN JOHN Age 26. It is with much sadness that the loved ones of John Carmichael announce his sudden passing on May 7, 2005 in Oromocto, NB. Born in Sydney, CB, on January 21st 1979, he was the loving son of Laura Lee (nee Porquet) and Norman Carmichael of Beaverbank, NS. He was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces, a supply tech at CFB Gagetown since the last four years, and prior to joining he was with the reserve forces for 2 years. John was a jovial character and always enjoyed time with his friends and family. He was well respected by colleagues and family alike. He is survived by his partner ShawnThomas (Saint John, NB) and his parents Laura Lee and Norman Carmichael, two sisters Stacy (Ryan) Clark and Annette Carmichael, and one nephew Duncan Clark, his grandparents Jean and Henry Porquet (Scotchtown) and Bernard and Louise Carmichael (River Ryan), several aunts, uncles and cousins. A private family viewing will be held on Wed. May 11, 2005 at McAdams Funeral Home, Fredericton NB, 1-3 pm. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 12, 2005 at 2pm at St. Michael's chapel in Shearwater, NS, with burial to take place at a later date.
