MOFFITT, CHRISTENE MARGARET Christene M. Moffitt of McAdam passed away May 29, 2005 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam. Born in 1916 at Tweedside, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Swan. Christene enjoyed knitting and sewing and spending time at her cottage at Harvey Lake. Christene is survived by three sons, Jack Moffitt (Ella) and Jerry Moffitt (Jane), both of McAdam and Jim Moffitt (Donna), New Minas, NS; seven grandchildren, Jim Moffitt (Marlo), Shelburne, ON, Scott Moffitt (Ghislaine), Ottawa, ON, Carla Hudson (Dale), Harvey, Liann Case (Dale), New Maryland, Amanda Moffitt, Jerrod Moffitt and Meighan Moffitt, all of Manitoba; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Louis Moffitt, two brothers, Earl and Lewis Swan and one sister, Carrie Moffitt. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station where visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Watson Williams officiating. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam. Honorary pallbearers will be Allison Moffitt and Ernest Swan. Active pallbearers will be Jimmie Moffitt, Scott Moffitt, Dale Hudson, Patrick Hudson, Timothy Hudson and Dale Case.
