BOOKER, GEORGE WEAVER The death of George Weaver Booker, husband of the late Dorothy Hazel Booker, of Woodstock, NB occurred on June 3, 2005 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital, Woodstock, NB. Born on August 14, 1924 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late John and Mildred (Sturgeon) Booker. George was a Section Foreman for CP Rail. He was involved with the Shriners and in his spare time, enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Ritchie of Fredericton, NB; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Phillip Booker of Durham, NB; one sister Gladys Kitchen of Durham, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he is predeceased by four brothers, James, Albert, Earl and John and two sisters, Pearl Hanson and Queenie Rosborough. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 7th, 2005 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock, NB following. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Luxour Temple Shriners, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
