DAIGLE, GUY JOSEPH The passing of Guy J. Daigle, 71, husband of Bernice (Maillet) occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on June 8th, 2005. Born in Saint-Jacques, New Brunswick on April 11th, 1934, he was the son of Joseph and Delina Daigle. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Rita and Vennie and brother George. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bernice; his son Jacques; his daughter Joanne and her husband Thomas Gimblett and his grand-daughter Jacqueline, all of Fredericton. Also survived by many sisters, brothers inlaw and nephews and nieces. Guy was a pioneer of Fredericton's French Community, his endless efforts contributed in the realization of the French school, the French Community Centre and the church, Sainte. Annedes-Pays-Bas. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the organizing committee of the Festival Francophone de Fredericton and his church. He will be missed by all his family and by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10th, 2005 at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home from 1-3 pm. Memorial service will be held at Sainte Anne-des-Pays-Bas on Friday, June 10th, 2005 at 5:00 pm. Pere Embry Brien will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Guy's wishes for donations were to be made to the Building Fund of Sainte Anne-des-Pays-Bas or the Canadian Cancer Society. www.mcadamsfh.com
