TIMS, WILLIAM BERTRAM The death of William B. Tims occurred on Monday, June 13th, 2005 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on December 29th, 1917, in Fredericton he was a lifelong resident of Forest Hill, his birthplace and home. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was the son of the late L. Bertram and Margaret (Bonnar) Tims and husband of the late Imelda (Maillet) Tims. William "Bill" served in WWII with the RCE Twentieth Canadian Field Company from 1943 - 1946. He later worked for the Department of Natural Resources in Fredericton as a Photomap Technician from 1946 until his retirement in 1978. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 and a strong supporter of the poppy fund. He was also a blood donor to the Canadian Red Cross for many years He will be deeply missed by his son, Thomas, his daughters, Gail Tims (Ralph Coppola) of Dartmouth, NS, Lorraine Tims of Fredericton, NB and Angela Cairnie (Neil) of Renfrew, ON; five grandchildren, Andy; Jeffrey and Jennifer; and Angus and Malcolm; one great grandchild, Caleb; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, recently deceased wife, Imelda; siblings, Mary, Ethel, George, Charles, and Thomas. Following cremation, the funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Thursday, June 16th, 2005 at 12:00 noon, Monsignor Brian Sheehan as celebrant. Interment will be in the Hermitage Cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 will hold a tribute service at the cemetery.
