YERXA, GILBERT H. The death of Gilbert Harry Yerxa of Rusagonis, NB, occurred on Sunday, June 19th, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Springhill, NB, he was the son of the late Hartley and Georgia (Palmer) Yerxa. Gilbert worked for several years in both Toronto and Montreal. He returned to New Brunswick and recently retired from Canada Post. Gilbert will be sadly missed by his two brothers, Ralph Yerxa of Fredericton, NB, and Donald Yerxa and his wife Jessie of Scotch Lake, NB; two sisters, Harriet Stairs of Lakeville Corner, NB, and Carole Cantle and her husband Roy of Rusagonis, NB; one sister-in-law, Mocelia Yerxa, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Glenwood Yerxa and three sisters, Kathleen Evanoff, Gladys Holyoke, and Marion Yerxa. There will be no public visitation by request. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home on a day and time to be announced. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the S.P.C.A. or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
