STEWART, WILLIAM (BILL) The death of William Stewart of Waasis, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday, June 17th, 2005. Born in Durham, NB on March 3rd, 1940, he was the son of the late Blanchard and Doris (Sowers) Stewart and foster son of the late Cecil and Muriel Gibson. Bill was employed as an independent truck driver for 18 years and upon his retirement he enjoyed fishing, gardening and bird watching. He will be truly missed for his kind heart, friendly ways, sense of humor and his everlasting smile. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Nora (Lapoint); his children, Lysa, Christopher, Darren, Velvet and Todd; his grandchildren, Starr, Stephanie, Marlee, Derrick and Crystal; his sisters, Thelma, Dorthia, Donna, Shirley and Blanche; his brothers, Amos and Harvey as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents; his foster parents; his sister, Marion and his brother, Roy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bill's home care nurse, Heather Rough for all her help, as well as Rev. Ken Weir and Ken Currie for their constant visits. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20th, 2005 at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 21st, 2005 at 2 pm from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Rev. Ken Weir officiating.
