BROWN, CATHERINE "KAY" MARIE Catherine Marie Brown passed away peacefully in her home July 3rd, 2005 surrounded by her family after a short struggle with cancer. Catherine was born in Dingwall, Nova Scotia on June 26th, 1936, the daughter of the late Alex and Jessie (Penetecost) Fitzgerald. Catherine of strong mind and stronger heart was a voracious reader and confidante and loyal friend to many. She traveled extensively with her Late Husband. She derived her greatest pleasure surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild regaling them with her many stories of growing up in Cape Breton. Although sorrowly missed her stories and zest for life will live on and keep us strong. Survived by her daughters, Marlene Forbes (Doug) and Edwinna Brown (Chris Kitching); her sons, David and Victor; proud grandmother of Shawn, Claudia, John Donald, Sarah and Kyle and great-grandson Tyson, as well as brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Don Brown, as well as her parents. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6th, 2005 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 7th, 2005 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
