EVELYN MARIE DAVIDSON

DAVIDSON, EVELYN MARIE The death of Evelyn Marie Davidson of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, July 6th, 2005 in her 99th, year. Evelyn was the daughter of the late Harold and Janette (Kinney) Tompkins and wife of the late J. Douglas Davidson. She was born on May 30th, 1907 in Fort Fairfield, Maine. She and her husband were owners and operators of the Bridge Tea room and cabins in Perth Andover until their retirement in 1968. Evelyn graduated from Andover High School in 1924 and Provincial Normal School in 1925. She taught for 6 years at schools in New Brunswick and Maine. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Perth Andover United Baptist Church and an adherent of the Grace Memorial United Baptist Church in Fredericton. She was a Dominion Life Member of the United Baptist Women's Missionary Union and a life member of the New Brunswick Women's Institute. She is survived by a daughter and son -in- law, Janette and Gerald Scott of Fredericton; two grandchildren, Beverley Scott of Saint John and Ward Scott (Jackie) of Maugerville; and great - grandchild, Bruce Scott. She is predeceased by infant twins, a son and a daughter, in 1935. There will be no visitation by family request. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 9th, 2005 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Bob Malcolm will officiate. Interment will be in the United Baptist Cemetery in Andover, NB. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Gideons Sharing Way or to the charity of the donor's choice.
