MABEL CHRISTINE MOFFITT

MOFFITT, MABEL CHRISTINE Mabel C. Moffitt of Harvey Station passed away Friday evening, July 15, 2005 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam where she had lived for the past seven years. She was born November 6, 1902 at Magaguadavic and was the last surviving of twelve children of the late John and Emma (Saunders) Hamilton. When her health permitted, Mabel enjoyed cooking and for many years knitted items for the Red Cross. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and the Sewing Circle. Mabel loved her family, which included her son Murray Moffitt (Shirley) of Harvey Station; four grandchildren, Dennis and Greg Moffitt, Kathryn Marr (Bill) and Lisa Morneau (Richard); four great grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Morneau, Jessica and Matthew Marr; several nieces and nephews. Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Roy Moffitt in 1990, five brothers, Stanley, George, Gordon, Ross and infant Ralph Hamilton, six sisters Jessie Moffitt, Beatrice Essensa, Annie Henry, Alice Hood, and infants Maggie and Louise. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating, assisted by Rev. Dr. Bradley Little and Rev. George Clark. Interment will be at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur Clark, Garnet Sloan, Aubrey Moffitt, Manley Briggs, Jack Hamilton and Roy Patterson. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Mabel, the family has suggested Knox Presbyterian Church organ fund or Wauklehegan Manor.
