COLE, JOHN RONALD "RON" The death of John Ronald "Ron" Cole occurred on August 2, 2005 at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born on May 25, 1934 in Halifax, NS, he was a son of the late William and Sadie (Bergwin) Cole. Ronald retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, Artillery Branch. He was a member of the Fredericton Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 4, Fredericton, NB. In addition to his wife, Margaret (Prescott) Cole, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Noseworthy (Reg) of Oakville, ON and Sandra Young (Bill) of Oromocto, NB; three grandchildren, Krista Wilson, Randy Young and Rick Young; one brother, Bob Cole (Rita) of Sackville, NS; three sisters, Marjorie Marshall (Ron) of Bridgetown, NS, Gloria Sullivan (John) of Armdale, NS and Joan Purcell (Cyril) of Portuguese Cove, NS; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ronald is predeceased by his brother Gerald Cole. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2005 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
