Roger Hunt
57, West Chezzetcook, N.S. Passed away peacefully at home on June 15th, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Jersey Harbour, N.L., he was the son of Edgar Hunt Sr. and the late Pearl (Stoodley) of Harbour Breton, N.L. Roger was a marine engineer, and in the 1970's worked for Atlantic Fish Products in Marystown, N.L., He later worked for Clearwater in Lunenburg, Fabco and Portobello Marine in Dartmouth, N.S. Roger had a passion for writing captivating short stories, many of which were published in The Coaster, as well as an enthusiasm for woodworking and collecting old photos of schooners. His children and grandchildren were the joy in his life and all resided near him. Leaving to mourn, his wife Christine (Kearley), daughters Ellen (Corey) Seaward, Donna (Bryan) Hunt, Shelley (Shawn) Romo, Sons; Colin (Tara) Hunt, Curtis (Michelle) Hunt. Grandchildren; Emma and Molly Seaward, Carson Hunt and Owen Hunt. Brothers; Wallace (Sadie), Fredericton, N.B., Raymond (Esther), Rosebay, N.S., Edgar (Madeline), Twillingate, N.L., Winston (Ellen), First South, N.S. There will be a family only visitation. Memorial Mass to be held at 2 pm Thursday, June 19th, at St. Anslem's Church in West Chezzetcook, N.S. Memorials to the family. No flowers by request.
