JANET (JEAN) BRYANT
BRYANT, JANET (JEAN) Janet Bryant (Milligan) passed away at the Gagetown Nursing Home on Tuesday August 9, at the age of 83. She originally came to Canada as a war bride in 1946 and made one return visit to Scotland in 1994, where she had a grand reunion with her family. Before living at the nursing home Janet was a long time resident of Oromocto and also lived nine years with her daughter Margaret in Edmonton, AB and one year with her daughter Betty in Gagetown. Janet was born in Bishopbriggs Scotland on June 4, 1922. She was the daughter of the late James Milligan and Anne Anderson of Edinburgh Scotland. Besides her parents Janet was predeceased by her brothers George, William and John and sisters Cathy, Helen (Nellie), and Lily. She is survived by her sister Betty (Colin) Campbell of Dumbarton Scotland and May (Alex) Brown of Bishopbriggs Scotland and many nieces and nephews. She was the beloved mother of Margaret (Tim) Babson of Edmonton AB, Elizabeth (Tony) Chevalier of Gagetown and Patricia (Steven) Beaudet of Oromocto. She will also be greatly missed by granddaughter Kathleen Taylor of Montreal QC and grandsons David Chevalier of Ottawa ON and Stephane (Angela) Chevalier of Longueuil QC. Janet also had great affection for the family pets, Sheba, Sadie and Chloe. There will be no visitation at the family's request and the Funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home's Chapel on Friday August 12, 2005 at 7pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA Oromocto would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements under the care of Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home.
