BLANEY, ALDEN EVERETT A funeral service was held for Alden E. Blaney of Hawkins Corner at Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic on September 11, 2005. Rev. Donald MacDougall officiated at the service. Music was provided by Randy and Tammy Griffiths. Alden was born at Maple Ridge in 1918, a son of the late John E. and Laura E. (Parrish) Blaney. His death occurred unexpectedly at his home on September 8, 2005. Interment took place in Hawkins Corner Cemetery. Alden is survived by his wife, Doris P. (Johnson) Blaney; a daughter, Lorna Blaney, Hawkins Corner; two sons, Arville Blaney and Keith Blaney (Brenda), both of Hawkins Corner; a sister, Bertha Hawkins, British Columbia; four grandsons, John, Angus, Corey and Ryan Blaney; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Byron Willis and a brother, Lloyd Blaney. Honorary pallbearer was nephew Ricky Kelly and active pallbearers were Albert Griffiths, David Haney and nephews Ralph Blaney, Claire Hawkins, Dennis Johnson and Calvin Tucker.
