ELLEN JEAN NORQUAY
NORQUAY, ELLEN JEAN The death of Ellen Jean Norquay, formerly of Keswick, occurred on November 20, 2005 at the York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton. Born on December 4, 1914 Crock's Point Road, NB, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lida (Jewett) Gordon. Mrs. Norquay was a member of the Keswick Ridge United Church, life member of the United Church Women, life member of the Keswick Ridge Women's Institute, life member of the Southhampton Ladies Auxiliary, and Keswick Ridge and Keswick Senior's Clubs. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Merrithew (Earl) of Douglas, Marion Allen of Scotch Settlement and Bernice Ripley (William) of Keswick; one son, John Norquay (Nancy) of Fredericton; 13 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is predeceased by; her husband, William Banks Norquay, two sisters, Marion Pond and Muriel Lawrence, two sons-in-law, Royden Allen and Irvine Jewett, three grandchildren, Earl and Leon Merrithew, and Darlene Mitchell. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Keswick Ridge United Church with Dr. Amos Adeniyi officiating. Interment will take place at Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery, Keswick. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
