Schmidt, Olga Bertha Minnie Olga Bertha Minnie Schmidt passed away on April 23, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Olga was born on November 29, 1916. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boswells Trinity Lutheran Church. She attended public school at Maltby School followed by high school education with her grade twelve taken at Convent in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan and grades nine through eleven by correspondence.Olga took her teacher training at Normal School in Regina in 1935 and she taught school for thirty four and a half years from 1937 until her retirement in June 1972. She became a member of Central Lutheran Church in 1964 and was a member of ELW Bible Study. She was also a member of the Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation. Olga is predeceased by her parents: Rudolf Schmidt 1965, Ludwicka (nee Brunner) Schmidt 1987, her sister Hertha Schoenroth 1982, brother Johnnie Schmidt 1996, and brother-in-law Herman Schoenroth 1999. She is survived by her nephew Brian Schoenroth of Toronto. Funeral Services will be held at Central Lutheran Church (27 Hochelaga Street West in Moose Jaw) at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 with Pastor Douglas Shepherd officiating.
