Survived by his common-law wife, Alma Longstaff; his 3 children, Roy Stewart (Tammy Cormier), Candice Stewart (Scott Robacy) and Paige Stewart as well as 3 step-children, Tim Longstaff (Melanie Burke), Vicki Clarke, Erin Dort (Jonathon); eight grandchildren, Samuel, Mekayla, Tyler, Hope, Gabriel, Megiel, Annika and Selena. Also survived by his mother Joan and father Gordon Gilks; 1 sister Kim Howe and husband Lyndon; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. Predeceased by 1 sister, Lynn Marie Gilks, February 21, 1974. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 21 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Aubrey Trail officiating. Interment in the Upper Maugerville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Mark, Paul and Bryan Ingraham, Mike Keetch. Derrick Miner and Jason McCafferty.
