ALLEN, PERCY GORDON The death of Percy Gordon Allen occurred December 18, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Burtt's Corner on June 21, 1923. Percy was the son of the late Mina (Gallagher) Allen and Wellington Allen. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Clara Thomas and his four children, Carol (Weymond) Lovely of Edmonton, Alberta, Ray (Mary) Allen of Fredericton, Sandra (Ivan) Gallant of Brownville, Alberta and Mary Anne (Murray) Nason of Grimshaw, Alberta. Percy had nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Mina Lyons (Art), Greta Christie, Bertha Goodine, Eleanor (Tom) Garry and a brother Jimmy (Myrna) Allen. Predeceased by brothers Gerald Allen and John (Sonny) Allen and by sisters Shirley Watson and Jean Muchey. Percy was a carpenter, a member of the Elm Tree Square Dancers, Fredericton, Men's Bowling Team and Men's Dart Team. Percy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and camping. Percy had a great sense of humour and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Tuesday, December 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 28th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Karl Brewer (Wesleyan Church, Nackawic) officiating.
