MacFADZEN, EUGENE FREDERICK The death of Eugene Frederick MacFadzen, husband of Grace Elizabeth, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on December 23, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on February 28, 1930 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Arthureen O'Hara. Eugene was a well respected Letter Carrier for Canada Post until his retirement in the spring of 2005. He was a member of Smythe Street Cathedral and supported mission causes world wide. He was a kind and generous man who was loved by all. He will be missed by everyone, especially his grandchildren who loved "Bompy" dearly. He loved family gatherings and was looking forward to spending Christmas with his family. Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by one son Howard (Debbie) of St. Catherines, ON; two daughters Rachel Pelkey (Calvin) and Lisa Blanchard (Eric) of Fredericton, NB, as well as eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and special niece Sandra Stairs (Brian). He was predeceased by his mother; one brother Howard MacFadzen and one sister Eleanor Cogswell. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton where visitation will take place Tuesday December 27, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Smythe Street Cathedral with Rev. Verner Drost officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
