HAROLD VINCENT HAYES
HAYES, HAROLD VINCENT The death of Harold Vincent Hayes, husband of Bertha E. (Saunders) Hayes, of Tay Creek, NB occurred on January 23, 2006 peacefully at his home. Born in 1912, in Tay Creek, NB, he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Annie (Owens) Hayes. Harold was a retired labourer with the Department of Forestry and a long time storekeeper in the community. Besides his wife, Bertha, he is survived by two daughters, Dolly Tomilson of Fredericton, Brenda Carlisle (Allison) of Keswick Ridge; two sons, Reginald Hayes (Shirley) of McLeod Hill, Wayne Hayes (Karen) of McLeod Hill; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Horncastle of New Maryland; three brothers, Louis Hayes (Leona) of Tay Creek, Joseph Hayes of Tay Creek, Leo Hayes of Ontario; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was predeceased by four sisters, Margaret Delucry, Mary Hayes, Josephine Crotty, Agnes Hayes; three brothers, Thomas Hayes, Gerald Hayes and Fred Hayes; and son in law, Barrie Tomilson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph's Church, Tay Creek, NB on Thursday, January 26th, 2006 at 2 pm with Father Maurice Swift as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB at a later date.
