GILLESPIE, WALTER ERNEST Mr. Walter Ernest Gillespie, husband of Leona Gillespie of 10113 Route 8 Blissfield, NB., passed away Tuesday evening at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, at the age of 74. Born in Blissfield, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alice (Jardine) Gillespie. He was a sawyer at Russell & Swim Limber Mill and a member of the Baptist Church. Besides his wife Leona, he is survived by his beloved dog Holly; two daughters; Cheryl Whalen (Kenneth) of Renous; Carol Robichaud (Vaughn) of Blissfield; two sons; Willard Gillespie of Blissfield; Derwin (Anita) Gillespie of Blissfield; two sisters; Effie Arbeau of Upper Blackville; Esther Curtis of BC; four brothers; Ephriam Gillespie of Doaktown; Archie Gillespie of Upper Blackville; Perley Gillespie of Fredericton; Shirley Gillespie of Blissfield; four grandchildren; Kelsie, Clinton, Owen and Emma. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one son Terry and one brother Winston. Mr. Walter Ernest Gillespie is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown with visitation this evening from 7-9 and Friday 2-4 and 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28, at 2pm. from Doaktown United Baptist Church, with Rev. Peter Valji officiating. Burial will be in Ford Hill Cemetery, Blissfield, later in the spring. At the request of the family donations to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
