MCMANUS, GEORGE EDWARD (ED) The death of George Edward ( Ed ) McManus of Fredericton, occurred at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB on February 16, 2006. Born in Fredericton he was the son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Hayes) McManus. Ed was a member of St. Anthony's Church and a member of the choir. He was a true friend to all who knew him. He gave generously to several charities each year. He had a keen memory, was an amateur history buff, and loved hockey games, especially his Montreal Canadians. He loved to travel and play the piano. Survived by one sister, Rita (Dale) Young of Fredericton; three nieces Bonnie MacPherson, Lori Phillips and Peggy McCutcheon all of Fredericton; two nephews, Brent Phillips of Harvey and Joe Young of Fredericton, and several cousins. Predeceased by his parents; one brother, Paul McManus and one brother in law Ashley Phillips. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, February 19th, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Monday, February 20th, 2006 at 11:00 am. Rev. Monte Peters as celebrant.
