SWEENEY, PEARL AGNES The death of Pearl Agnes Sweeney of Fredericton, wife of the late Irvine Sweeney occurred on Friday, March 3, 2006 at the York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton. Born in Lower Durham, NB, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Agnes (Patchett) Sweeney. She is survived by one daughter, Juanita Matchett of Winnipeg, MB; daughter-in-law, Shirley Sweeney of Lower Durham; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Leona Chase; one son, Mark Sweeney; five sisters, Bertha Pond, Lillian Johnston, Rita Johnston, Jean Seeley and Leah Ulric; four brothers, Lawrence, Herbert, Parker and John. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton Drive on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clair Mullen and Rev. Mike Trail officiating. Interment will be held in the Upper Durham Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
