BERYL GEORGE

GEORGE, BERYL Beryl George - Gagetown, New Brunswick, formerly of Delhaven, Kings County, Nova Scotia, passed away at the age of 92 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Canaan, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Lottie (Brown) Dow. Beryl will be dearly missed by her daughters, Ellen Porter, Cambridge, Kings County; Cecilia George Macdonald and son-in-law Vince Macdonald, Gagetown; her only surviving brother Seldon of Sudbury Ontario; a special daughter-in-law, Verna George (Irving), Digby. Beryl was a dear and loving grandmother to 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her spirit, her energy and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Captain Carl George in 1966. She was also predeceased by her sons Lorway (Mike), Maurice (Tyke), and Paul; her son-in-law Grant Porter; her granddaughter Susan Porter; her brothers Glenford and Hazen and her sisters Denzil, Stella and Lyla. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006 at St Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Canning, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Father Larry Pitcher officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. For those that wish, remembrances may made to the charity of your choice and will be very much appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
