Carole Elizabeth (Nee Kemp) Carole Elizabeth Blue
Born: February 22nd, 1938
Blue, Carole Elizabeth (Nee Kemp) Carole Elizabeth Blue, born on February 22, 1938, in Moose Jaw, left this world peacefully in the early hours of June 21, 2008, with loved ones by her side. Carole joined the R.C.A.F. at 18 years of age and soon after met and married Jack in 1957. Carole led the life of a military wife until 1977 when Jack retired and they started civilian careers in Moose Jaw. She worked at the airbase for 18 years and was always proud to say she "fed many a Snowbird pilot in training". Carole retired in 1996 at the time of Jack's stroke, and she dedicated her remaining years to caring for him. She leaves to mourn her husband of 51 years, John "Jack" Blue, her children Tom of Chilliwack BC, Sheila Crawford (Bill) of Osler, SK, and Karen Sellar (Doug), of Saskatoon, SK. She will be missed by her grandchildren Chantel, Brandon, Cory, Kayla, Courtney, Lindsay and Elizabeth, and by her two great-grandchildren, Tamara and Wyatt. She will be remembered by her brothers Doug Kemp (Pat), of Saskatoon, SK, Stephen Kemp (Carol), of Swift Current, SK and by her aunt Audrey Mackenzie of Vancouver, BC. Carole also leaves to mourn her life long friend Joyce Bowler and her long time friend Ellie Richard (Ron), as well as her biggest fan and faithful companion "Riley". Carole now joins her parents Frank and Ruth Kemp in Heaven. A memorial service will be held at the Parkview Funeral Home in Moose Jaw on Wednesday, June 25. 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
