EMERSON WILMOT GRIEVE

GRIEVE, EMERSON WILMOT Emerson W. Grieve of Harvey Station, passed away April 18, 2006 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1919 at Harvey Station, he was a son of the late Wilmot L. and Ella M. (Dykeman) Grieve and lived for most of his life on the family farm. Emerson began work as a trucker and then operated heavy equipment for several years. He was employed for seventeen years as highway supervisor in Harvey Station before his retirement. In later years Emerson enjoyed trailering and socializing with fellow campers. He was a member of St. Andrews United Church and served on Session for a number of years. Emerson is survived by two daughters, Margie Grieve (Murray), Harvey Station and Leesa Russon (Neil), Mazerolle Settlement; one son, Donald Grieve (Nancy Lee), Harvey Station; two granddaughters, Heather Chessie (Jody), Harvey Station and Andrea Grieve (Randy Hannah), Prince William; five grandsons, Wayne Kelly (Elaine), Oshawa, ON, Ronald Grieve (Jill) and David Grieve (Shannon), both of Harvey Station, Nicholas Russon and Jason Russon, both of Fredericton; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Myrtle Little, Harvey Station; two step-daughters, Marilyn Turner, Woodstock and Linda Watson, Maxwell; several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Kathleen (Grant) Grieve; his second wife, Ida Mae (Kelly) Grieve; a son, Stanley Grieve; an infant daughter, Shirley Grieve; a grandson, John Kelly and an infant granddaughter, Cheryl Grieve. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews United Church, Harvey on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Ruth Stuart officiating. Interment in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Russon, Nicholas Russon, Ronald Grieve, David Grieve and nephews Ross Little and Lester Little.
