(nee Stokes) Passed away at Brookfield Hospital on Thursday, June 19, 2008, Matilda Butt (nee Stokes) age 86 years, of Lumsden. Predeceased by her husband Eric, brother Newman Stokes, sister Kate Gray. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Melvin (Judy) and Ted (Elizabeth); daughters Eileen Gibbons (Larry) and Christine Gibbons (Andy), all of Lumsden; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; sister Pearl Earle of Dartmouth, NS; sisters-in-law Mabel Stokes of Lumsden, Nina Roebotham (Howard) of Lumsden, Grace St. Jean (Bateese) of Vancouver; brother-in-law Fred Butt (Elizabeth) of St. John's; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service to take place at Wesley United Church, Lumsden on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at The United Church Cemetery, Lumsden.
