ROY, MELITA MARIE Melita Marie Roy passed away peacefully May 4, 2006 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grand mother, a giving soul, was a pillar of strength for us all and continued to comfort us during her lengthy illness. She is pre-deceased by her husband Emile who passed away in 1993 and an infant daughter, Evelyn, who always held a special place in her heart. Melita is survived by seven daughters, Corinne, Theresa, Florence, Barbara, Paulette, Pauline and Deborah; six sons, Robert, Allison, John, Raymond, Arthur and Donald, 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grand children. She is also survived by her loving sister, Nellie, her best friend, her brother Peter and youngest sister, Irene. We would sincerely like to thank the nursing staff of 4NW at the Chalmers Hospital who went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you, Dr. Plummer for your compassionate manner at the moment of Mom's passing. A very warm and special thanks to Freda, who cared for our dear mother with love and dignity. We will eternally be grateful for loving our precious gem. Also, thank you Meldie for the homecare you provided. Mom, you will always be close to our hearts. We will treasure your beautiful memory until we all meet again. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) with visiting Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 6th, 2006 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Minto, with Father Peter Stephen officiating. Interment will take place in the Saint Bridget's Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge. If so desired, memorial donations made to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
