GILBERT, BRIAN OTIS On May 7, 2006 the world lost a special man when Brian O. Gilbert passed away at his home in Minto. He was born in Zealand in 1956, a son of Irvine Gilbert and the late Vivian (Brewer) Gilbert. Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a ham operator with the call letters VE9CJC. He touched the hearts of everyone with his kindness and fun filled jokes and was a great father to his two sons. Brian is survived by his two sons, Gregory and Theo, both of Saint John; his girlfriend, Pam Hanson; the mother of his children, Inez Gilbert, Saint John; his father, Irvine Gilbert, Zealand; three sisters, Sandra Brewer (Francis), Joann Brewer (Earl), both of Zealand and Diann Estey (David), Lower Queensbury; two brothers, Lance Gilbert, Keswick and Kevin Gilbert (Sheila), Zealand; a brother-in-law, Dale Brewer, Zealand; a special brother, Frankie Moss, Zealand; special grandchildren, Chantal, Brandon and Javen and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Vivian Gilbert. Resting at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand with visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 2 p.m.with Rev. Dale Brewer offi ciating. Interment will be later at Stone Ridge Community Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Brian, the family has suggested the Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church.
