POND, LOIS IRENE The passing of Lois Irene Pond, of Stanley, NB, wife of Robert Pond, occurred on May 10, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 21, 1939 in Jacksontown, NB, she was a daughter of the late Ford and Evelyn (Bell) Ebbett. Lois taught school in Stanley and Minto. She was a member of Cross Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Church Missionary Society, a Stanley High School Library board member, a Medical Centre Out Reach Committee Member. Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother, Ernest Ebbett (Nancy ) of Jacksontown, NB; one sister, Ruth MacLean of Northwindham, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Darrell. Visitation will take place in the Son Shine Room at the Cross Creek Baptist Church on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 2 pm from the Cross Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating. Interment will take place in the Cross Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Cross Creek Baptist Church.
