PARENT, JENNIE RAE (GIBSON) The death of Jennie Rae (Gibson) Parent, wife of the late Lewis Parent, occurred on Friday May 19, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Millan and Eva (Arbeau) Gibson. Jennie was a member of the Salvation Army for many years and was involved with the Ladies Home League. She enjoyed bowling, reading, music, singing and her weekly outings with her sister Madeline and her niece Rebecca. Jennie is survived by two sons, Bob (Carla) Parent of Lakeville Corner, NB and David Parent of Fredericton, NB; one daughter, Jennifer (Eugene McKay) Bastarache of Fredericton, NB; one granddaughter, Dominique Bastarache; one brother, Robert (Hannelore) Gibson of NS; one sister, Madeline Corrier of Fredericton, NB; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hanson of Woodstock, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sisters Virginia McSorley and Alberta Gibson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2006 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Majors Leo and Marie Vincent officiating. Interment will take place in the Dayton Cemetery at a later date.
