LEONA MARIE SUSSEY
SUSSEY, LEONA MARIE Wife of the late Irvine Sussey occurred on May 23, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was born on October 15th, 1930 in Pointe Verte NB, the daughter of Alphonse and Ida Boudreau. She made Fredericton her home at the age of 15. She always had a great sense of community. Some of her fondest memories were the years she spent in Nashwaak Bridge, were Leona and her husband owned & operated the local convenience store. Leona's family meant everything to her. Her greatest joy in life was the birth of her grandsons and great granddaughters. Leona would go out of her way to help others. She was loved and will be missed by all. Survived by two sons, Brian of Fredericton and Stephen of Florida. 2 grandsons Jason (Christine) of Fredericton NB and Gregory (Amy) of Fredericton NB. 2 great grandchildren, Khloe and Morgan as well as two other grandsons, Brian and Aaron Gerard. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Irene Lagace (Tim) of Montreal, Blondine Roy (Bob) of Petit Rocher NB and Donia Hewitson (Jerry) of Fredericton NB. Sister in law, Eileen Kelly (Walter) of Sarina Ontario, and a brother in law Earl Sussey (Betty) of Fredericton. No visitation by request of the family. Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held at our Lady of Fatima Church in Marysville on Saturday May 27th at 11 AM with Father Maurice Swift officiating. Interment to take place in the St. Anthony's Cemetery. Special thanks from the family to Ida Hunter and the nurses of 3 E for all their help in the past few months.
