HOOD, HARRY M. Harry Hood, husband of Marlene(MacKay) Hood, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmer's Regional Hospital, after suffering with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born on June 26, 1929 to Mary (Bradshaw) and Mowatt Hood. Harry attended the South Portage Baptist Church, was a member of the Golden Age Club, A.A., and he liked Country and Western music. He was a carpenter and made crafts and loved to be around people. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Lorraine Locke(John) of Miramichi, N.B., and Gayle Ross (William) of Fredericton, N.B., three sons, Mowatt (Daisy) of Taymouth, Robert(Roxanne) of Lower Sackville, N.S., and Edward(special friend Fay Ryan) of Nashwaak Bridge, N.B., four sisters Bella Boone(Fred) of Tay Creek, Helen Reilley (John) of Stanley, N.B., Sherry Maxwell(Arthur) of Sussex, N.B., and Shirley McKinley(Danny) of Alberta, two brothers Leonard (Diane) of Fredericton, N.B., and Neil(Linda) of Cross Creek, N.B., sister-in-law Betty Hood of Fredericton, N.B., twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Martin, his daughter-in-law Annette, and his brother Fred. Visitation will be at York Funeral Home on Monday May 29, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 30th at 2pm with Pastor Pat McAloon officiating and Pastor Robert Dunlop assisting. Reading will be done by grandson Mike Ross. Pallbearers will be, grandsons Matt Hood, Ben Hood, Craig Hood, Tim Hood, Tony Hood and Derek Locke. Honourary Pallbearers will be Reggie Sansom, Bordon Boyle, Fred Young, Robin Hood, Stephen Gilbert, and Willis Price. Interment will be at Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery, with a reception following at the Legion. For those who wish, remembrances to the Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the Donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
