PATTERSON, WALTER The death of Walter Patterson of Fredericton, NB occurred unexpectedly on Friday, June 2nd, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on July 12th, 1927 in Upper Stewiacke, NS, he was the son of the late Roy and Gertrude (McCabe) Patterson and husband of Marguerite (Sandeson) Patterson of Fredericton. Walter graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University, and later graduated from Nova Scotia Technical College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed with NB Power for over 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, photography and traveling. Walter was a member of Wilmot United Church. He was also a member of the Fredericton Golf and Curling Club and Fredericton Photo Club. Survived by his wife, Marg (Sandeson) Patterson of Fredericton, NB; his sister, Helen Mahon (Robb) of Rothesay, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brother, Muir, and sister, Hilda. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from Wilmot United Church on Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chris Levan officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke, NS at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
