MERRILL, BERT WALLACE (1927-2006) Peacefully after a long struggle with vascular disease at Peterborough Regional Health Centre Hospital Drive Site on Friday, June 16, 2006. Bert was the dearly loved husband of Helen Merrill (nee Brightwell) and cherished dad of Wende (Ralph Collins), Karen (Don Shane) and Tim (Teddi Swalm) and Terry (Cindy). He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Sharon. He is survived by his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was born in Maple Grove, N.B. to the late Ray and Maude (nee Porter). He is survived by his siblings, Dell (Frances) of Scotch Settlement, Norma (Roy Toon) of Fredericton, Floyd (Joyce) of Courtenay, B.C., Velma Hay of Williamsburg, Joan Jones of Halifax and Neil (Elizabeth) of Fredericton. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Burial Service will take place graveside at Rosemount Memorial Gardens in Peterborough, Ontario, on July 8, 2006.
