Sister Mary Ita, RSM. Entered into eternal life at McAuley Convent June 20, 2008, Sister Mary Ita Hennessey, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Sara (Foran) Hennessey of Grand Falls and her brothers John, William, Cyril, Joseph, Raymond, Basil and Arthur. Leaving to mourn her Religious Congregation the Sisters of Mercy, her sister Bernadette (Ron) McKelvie and special nephew Fred, also many nieces, nephews, close friends and caring music students. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John's, on Saturday, June 21, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 22, until 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 23, 2008, 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
