MURRAY, HAZEL The passing of Hazel Murray, of Fredericton, occurred on July 22, 2006, at the age of 97, at York Manor Nursing Home. Born August 6, 1908 in Haliburton, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Mabel (Hanson) Murray. Hazel worked with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a recruiting officer. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and doing crafts. She is survived by her sister-in-laws Betty and Mary Murray; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews. In additions to her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her three brothers, Everett, Charles and Raymond Murray; four sisters Ida Perley, Eunice Stephens, Hester Douglas and Clara Burlamachi. Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon Macleod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday July 25, 2006 at 11 am Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Internment will take place at the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
