NEWSOME, HELEN M. (MEADE) The passing of Helen May (Meade) Newsome of Swan Creek, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, November 10, 2006 following a short and courageous battle with cancer. Helen was 61. Born in Fredericton on July 7, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Alice (Carr) Boone. Helen was a former employee of the Fredericton Ramada Inn and was once honored as Employee of the Year. She was also a Lioness with the River Road Lions Club in Upper Gagetown, NB. Helen was dearly loved by all who knew her. Survived by her husband John Newsome; one son Keith Meade (Donna) of New Glasgow, NS; one daughter, Tammy Dobson (Gavin) of Geary; beloved nanny to her five grandchildren, Felicia, Christina, Troy, Geoffrey and Tyler. Helen is also survived by one sister, Irene Fraser of Geary; one brother, David Boone (Gail Gullison) of Swan Creek; one stepson, Shaun Newsome (Stephanie) of Halifax; two stepdaughters, Lesley Terris (Reg) and Andrea Randall (Stanley) both of Moncton; five step-grandchildren, Adam, Amy, Catherine, Tristan and Holly; four great step-grandchildren, Karlee, Haley, Loren and Kyle; nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen loved animals and was devoted to her many pets. Predeceased by her parents; her first husband Gerald Douglas Meade (1992) and two brothers, Wallace and George Boone. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Interment in the Pine Grove United Church Cemetery.
