DONEY, JOANNA MARIA (NEE: HOOFT-MACDONALD) It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Joanna Doney of Fredericton on November 11, 2006 at the age of 82, after 4 years of declining health with grace and great dignity. Born in Ghent, Belgium, she left after the Second World War to come to Canada as a war bride of the late William R. MacDonald. Left to mourn her passing are her five children; her son, William M. MacDonald (Carol) of Mazerolle Settlement, daughter, Carole McCurdy of Fredericton, son, Robert MacDonald (Beryla) of St. George, NB, John MacDonald (Eleanor) of Waasis Road and Ronald MacDonald (Peggy) of Kelly's Court, Fredericton; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also predeceased by her parents Maurice and Maria (Lippens) Hooft; her second husband, Bill Doney; a younger brother, Bob Hooft. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Monday, November 13, 2006 from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home on Tuesday November 14, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. Interment in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
