MITCHELL, ELLEN MAUDE The passing of Ellen Maude Mitchell of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday November 11, 2006 at the York Manor Nursing Home. Born in Marysville, NB she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Bessie (Briggs) Mitchell. Ellen was retired from the University Press. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, Fredericton and also served as a volunteer with the Fredericton Community Kitchen. Ellen is survived by one brother, Waldo (Clara) Mitchell of Fredericton, NB; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ellen was predeceased by five brothers, Leroy, Lester, Norman, Darrell and Ron. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday November 16, 2006 at 10:00 am from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Alzheimer Society, First Wesleyan Church or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
