RYDER, D. WILMA The death of D. Wilma Ryder of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, November 11th, 2006. Born in Oromocto, NB, she was the daughter of the late C. Ernest and Mabel (Coy) McFadzen. Wilma was born in Oromocto and spent a good portion of her life in Saint John, NB, she attended Fredericton High School where she graduated in 1937 and then attended the Provincial Normal School, received her teaching degree. She taught in numerous rural and community schools including ones in Hartland, Parkers Ridge, Saint John and finished her teaching career at the Saint John Community College. She was a member of Christ Church Cathedral for many years. She will also be fondly remembered as the resident grandmother of Case Street and will be sadly missed by her many friends, neighbours and family members. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Wendy Lee Bourque (Michel Alfred) of Fredericton, grandson, Benjamin John Bourque; brother, Ernest R. MacFadzen (Ina); sisters, Ruth Marshall (Louis) and Patricia Wood (Murray); as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, C. Ernest and Mabel (Coy) McFadzen; brother, Wendell McFadzen, aunt, Juanita Nodwell and; brother-in-law, Louis Marshall. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, 2006 at 12:00 noon from the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel. The Very Reverend Keith Joyce officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In the St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Oromocto, NB. For those who wish, memorial tributes in Wilma's honor may be made to Christ Church Cathedral, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
