MACRAE, JOHN ANDREW The death of John MacRae of Geary, NB occurred Saturday, November 18th, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on May 4th, 1924 in Balmoral, Cape Breton, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry MacRae, and husband of the late Gladys (McRae). John served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 35 years, having served in World War II with the 1st Battalion Black Watch. Survived by sons, Robert (Pam) of Maugerville, NB, Carl of Burton, NB; daughter, Brenda Campbell (David) of Geary, NB; grandchildren, Donald MacRae, Jason MacRae, Katie MacRae, Terri MacRae, Melanie Boudreau; brother, Duncan of Drayden Valley, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews; and neighbor and best friend, Merle Fox. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Gladys; son, Stewart; grandson, Tim; brothers, Alexander, Lloyd and Delbert. Visitation will be held at Alex A. Morrison Funeral Home, St. Peters, NS on Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Black River United Church on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jim Bragen officiating. Interment will be in the Black River Cemetery.
