BAKKER, GERRIT T. (GERRY) 1943-2006 On Friday December 8, 2006, peacefully at Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with Lymphoma. Beloved husband of Ann Marie, father of Mike, Jay, Tim and Pat. Father-in-law to Marci and January. Grandfather of Elle. Son of Hermina and the late Jan Bakker. Brother of Ineke (Fred), John (Jennifer), Martin (Ann) and Irene. Son-in-law of Annie and the late Michael McDonald of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Brother-in-law to Janet (Ken), Cathy (Steve) and Mary-Lou (deceased). The family wishes to sincerely thank the medical, nursing and support staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for the tireless and loving care they provided to Gerry throughout his illness. The family will receive friends at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, (905)844-3221 in Oakville on Tuesday December 12, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday December 13, 2006 at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street in Oakville to be followed by a reception in the parish centre. Interment will be private.
