THOMAS, EMERY LEE The death of Emery Thomas of Lower Kingsclear occurred at the Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the age of 82. Born in Centreville NB, he was a son of the late Lee and Caddie (Gee) Thomas and husband of Claudine (Tracy) Thomas of Lower Kingsclear. A D-Day veteran of WWII serving in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe from 1941-1945 with the Sherbrooke Fusiliers Armoured Regiment, before being discharged in 1946, the Provost Corps. A Charter member and Past President of Centreville Legion Branch#84, founding member of Thomas Brothers, Past Master Carleton Lodge#35 F&AM. He was an active member of his church First Kingsclear United Baptist. Emery is survived by his wife Claudine; three daughters Maureen Worrell (Glenn) of St. Stephen, Deanna Wilson (Maurice) of Vancouver BC, Paula Charbonneau (John) of Oakville ONT; one son Neil (Sara) of Fredericton; one sister Ella Graham of Toronto; two brothers Austin of Centreville, Ronald of Waterville; and six grandchildren. Predeceased by three brothers Leslie, Wesley, Fred; and two sisters Minnie and Lottie. Resting at Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. with visiting on Thursday December 14, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Bishops Funeral Home Chapel on Friday December 15, 2006 at 10:00AM with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will be held in the Dunphy Cemetery in the spring.
