GRANT, GORDON STANLEY Gordon Stanley Grant, passed away Friday, December 15th, 2006 at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born on July 29th, 1927 in Stewiacke, NS, he was a son of the late Ken and Eunice (Grant) Anderson. Gordon served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 14 years with placements in Germany, Petawawa, Gagetown, and Valcartier. Upon completion of his services, Gordon worked for Ross Drug in downtown Fredericton. He was a kind soul with a love for animals and the outdoors. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Gordon is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Edith (Crawford); his children and their spouses, Donald of Fredericton, Harry (Christine) of Oromocto, Dennis of Edmonton, AB, Sheila (Ron Dionne) of Whitehorse, Yukon, Charlotte (Greg Stewart) of Peterborough, ON, Patricia (Larry Price) of Fredericton, Doreen (Corey Bruneau) of Whitehorse, Yukon, and Steven (Toni) of Fredericton; his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Gordon was predeceased by 2 sons, Roy and Ronald. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 7 pm with Rev. Reginald Miller officiating. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 4, Fredericton are asked to assemble at 7 pm for a Legion Tribute Service. Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke, NS at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
