DAY, GRETA MARY The death of Greta Mary Day of Maugerville, NB occurred at Mill Cove Nursing Home on December 25th, 2006. Born on March 26, 1906 in Burton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thayer and Ruth Maud (Almon) McMonagle and wife of the late Arthur B. Day. Greta was a member of Christ Church, Maugerville, NB and Sunbury Senior Friendship Club. She enjoyed cooking for her family, knitting and attending card parties. Greta was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by her children, Ruth Ingraham (Carl), Betty Spencer, Raymond Day (Sandra), Leonard Day (Darlene) and Robert Day (Peggy) all of Maugerville, NB; sister-in-law, Doris McMonagle of Burton, NB; as well as 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Sarah McMonagle; brothers, Edward, Leonard and Lawrence McMonagle; grandson, Terry Day; sons-in-law, Frank Ingraham and Willard Spencer; and daughter-in-law, Norma Day. Visitation will be held from Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, December 29th, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican Church, Maugerville, NB on Saturday, December 30th, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Keith Howlett officiating.
